I am finally getting around to writing out Owen’s birth story! It’s taken me 3 months to finally do it! On April 23, 2019 we welcomed our sweet baby boy! It was a complete roller coaster the last two weeks before he was born! We went through 35 weeks of my pregnancy without any issues with my blood pressure. I was off my medicine because it was causing my blood pressure to drop so low and I was passing out due to it. We hit 35 weeks and that’s when my blood pressure decided to start acting up. At my 35 week checkup my blood pressure reading was 162/100 and of course with that high of a reading I got sent to the hospital for monitoring.. While there we found out I would need 12 hours of Magnesium and I had a moderate case of Pre-eclampsia. My protein levels were almost 400! I was also diagnosed with Chronic Hypertension.. I ended up having to have my labor stopped while there because the magnesium caused me to start having contractions, which is not very common! I was finally able to go home after a 4 day stay at the hospital.. But was also put on bed rest for the remainder of my pregnancy. Before 37 weeks of pregnancy I was sent to the hospital once more for Blood pressure monitoring.. At 37 weeks we went in for our induction! Induction was started at 7am, and by 5pm I asked for an epidural because I just couldn’t take the pain anymore. Inductions are super hard on your body, and I went in at only 1cm dilated and 50% effaced.. By 6pm, my epidural was in and I was finally able to relax fully.. Now my epidural only numbed about half my body which now I’m super happy it did because it helped me be able to push when the time came! About an hour later I told the nurse that I was only numbed half way and she went to go check me before calling in more epidural medicine and I was finally 10 cm! I was at a 6 when I got the epidural. And once the Dr. was called in, I pushed for about 10 minutes and he was born!! Owen weighed in at 7 pounds 7 ounces and 20.5 inches tall! Lexi was so excited to meet her baby brother the next day! And she’s been the sweetest Big Sister ever!

While at the hospital we had a dear friend take Newborn/fresh 48 pictures of Owen! And I’m still so in love with them! She did such amazing work!

First Trimester Must Haves

untitled project 2019-01-25

Today on the blog, I wanted to talk about my favorite products that got me through the first trimester this time around.. This is long overdue as I am now 24 weeks pregnant and only have 4 weeks left of the second trimester, But I promise that my second trimester must haves will be up sooner than this one is!

So to start this off, the constant nausea was so horrible this time around! I found out I was pregnant at 3 1/2 weeks along.. and my “morning sickness” but I call it all day sickness started at 4 weeks pregnant.. So here’s my favorite things that helped ease my morning sickness for the most!

Preggie Pops Drops Plus, these drops helped alot! They’re formulated with natural ingredients and vitamin B6 to help ease morning sickness.. The amazing thing about this product is you can get it off Amazon, or you can get it in store at Target!

Sea-Band Mama Maternity Pack, These were such a lifesaver for the extreme intense morning sickness.. The pressure point bands go right on your wrist and help relieve the nausea! I also wear them when my motion sickness gets out of control!

Dramamine-N Multi purpose formula, this also helped with my nausea a lot! My morning sickness didn’t end until I was almost 17 weeks pregnant! The longest I have ever been sick with all my pregnancies! Of course make sure to talk with your health care provider before taking any medication!!

Now that we have the morning sickness remedies aside, let’s talk favorite clothes to have during the first trimester! My favorites were some maternity jeans! I had to start wearing maternity jeans starting at 10 weeks because I was already showing! Third pregnancy is no joke when you start showing! So I’ll link some of my favorites below!

Motherhood Maternity Secret Fit Belly Super Stretch Jeans

Secret Fit Belly Stitched Pocket Bootcut Maternity Jeans

Now onto favorite App! I have always loved the Ovia Pregnancy app! It’s what I used with my daughter and I love how easy it is! Definitely download it and give it a try! You won’t be disappointed!

Favorite Prenatal has been the Olly Prenatal! I’ve been picking mine up at Target! But I love how I can get my DHA and Omega 3 just by taking it daily! It doesn’t have iron in it, but it’s not a concern for me as I eat a lot of iron rich foods!

My Essential Oils have been a HUGE help with this pregnancy! I so wanted to be able to incorporate my oils into this pregnancy and have my first oily pregnancy! Little did I know that I’d be relying on them so much! I can’t thank them enough! For those that haven’t used oils before and would like to, I highly suggest using Young Living oils, and also getting the Gentle Babies: Essential oil and natural remedies for Pregnancy, childbirth, infants and young children, and also the Betsy Bosom’s Baby Book, they’re so informative on oils that are safe for pregnancy and beyond! So my list of oils that helped a ton were: Lemon, Lavender, Frankincense, Valor! Ningxia Red was also a huge help! It helped with some of my morning sickness but also helped with my constant exhaustion!

If you have any favorites definitely comment them below! I’d love to hear your favorites!

Snow Fun 2018

So this morning we woke up to another round of snow! Our first round happened early Friday morning but it was mostly ice with a little snow! Now here in Mississippi we don’t get “winter weather”. We get the frigid cold temps and maybe some ice but that’s usually all.. So to get 3 inches of snow over night is big! I took Lexi out so she could play in it and her reaction was so hilarious! She loved it but would never touch it! All she wanted to do was shuffle her boots in the snow.. Apparently the girl is like her mama! I’m not really fond of it! I like summer and fall weather best!😉 I’m gonna attach the cutest pictures ever with her enjoying the snow!

She is such a little fashionista with the way she was posing in the pictures!

Hope each of you have a wonderful week!!

Molar Pregnancy {My Story}

Before I start this I want to say that if you’ve ever went through a miscarriage, still birth, or Molar Pregnancies my heart goes out to you. I never in a million years would have thought I’d be going through this.. I also want to put that this post might be a trigger warning for anyone who has went through any kind of pregnancy loss..

So here is my story that I have felt like I needed to write. We found out we were expecting another baby at the end of September. We were so happy, Lexi was going to be a big sister and I just couldn’t wait for June 2018 to come.. We head into the end of October and I started spotting.. My first trimester OB appointment was 4 days after I started spotting. I thought for sure I was miscarrying! Bleeding stopped and I didn’t think any more about it. Went in for my first trimester ultrasound and I just had this overwhelming feeling that something wasn’t right the day before. I just couldn’t shake the feeling. Go in for the ultrasound and as soon as the tech turned the screen on I knew in my heart that I was indeed right, something wasn’t right.. The tech looked at me and said “I am so sorry but you don’t have a viable pregnancy”. You have a very rare pregnancy, a molar pregnancy.. Now I had never heard of a molar pregnancy before and I didn’t know what it meant! After she took all the pictures that she needed for my OB, I then went to see my OB and talk with her about what all had to take place..

When my OB came into the room she confirmed what her suspicion was (She couldn’t fully diagnosed me with a molar pregnancy until the pathology team confirmed it) and said that I needed a D&C as soon as possible and would call me back that day with my surgery date. Now mind you I have NEVER had any kind of surgery before.. So finding out that I had a molar pregnancy and finding out that I also needed surgery was A LOT for me to process.. Not to mention I would have to relay all this information back to my husband who was suppose to start working nights that exact same night and couldn’t go with me to this appointment.. I held it together until I got home. As soon as I got home and looked at my husband I just couldn’t hold it together.. I cried and cried while he held me! Knowing that I had my husband holding me and letting me cry was so what I needed.. So my Ob appointment was on a wednesday, my surgery was that Friday.. Going in for the surgery I didn’t really know what to expect. I mean I had talked with some friends who have had one done, But honestly it doesn’t prepare you for what it actually is! The surgery was a total of 20 minutes and we had to stay in the recovery area for one hour afterwards. Which was so simple for me since I wasn’t in any pain. That weekend I experienced all the pain from the surgery and the pain of going through the loss.. I have never cried so much in my life, and I just can’t imagine how I would have been able to do this without my husband. He is my rock! Having Lexi to take my mind off the hurt has been so good for me too! Fast forward to my first blood draw since the surgery. We found out my HCG (pregnancy hormone) levels were 247,000 before surgery. It is extremely high but also normal when dealing with a molar pregnancy. So it was back to weekly blood draws until the HCG levels go to zero.. I will say the weekly blood draws have been Hell on me.. Physically and emotionally.. Every week after having it done, I have felt like shit! Every week my arm bruises up and looks like shit! Today was my last day for weekly blood draws and I am so happy! These last two months have been such hell.. I am forever thankful for my amazing OB team for going through this with me. I still have six months of blood work that we have to continue on. We are not even close to being done. Now it’s just maintaining the levels and making sure they stay down. I have no doubt that they won’t stay low since we can’t try for another baby right now and I am also on a birth control pill to keep me from getting pregnant while we are going through this process.. If you don’t know what a molar pregnancy is, It’s where you have all the pregnancy cells but a non fertilized egg.. Most times it is because the female body releases a egg that doesn’t have any fertilizing capabilities.. And when a sperm and the egg comes together the sperm takes over and then tissue forms and a abnormal placenta forms.. You also gain alot of weight with it as well.. And even though I was only 9 weeks when we found out, I looked like I was 15 weeks pregnant.. I wanted to share my story for anyone who has went through this, or who is going through it right now.. YOU ARE NOT ALONE!! I have cried so much through this process.. Knowing that when June comes I will again be sad knowing that we won’t have the baby we were so excited for.. Knowing that there was no baby at any point is a blessing. But also I feel like sad that I am mourning a pregnancy loss and not a loss of a baby.. I know this all sounds weird to say.. Has anyone been through this before? If so, How are you coping with it? Or how did you cope with it? Thank you for reading this and for letting me share my story!! This is my first time sharing this other than the few people we told already.. But I feel now is the right time to share about it!

Amazingly Blessed Shop

Good afternoon! Today it’s been rainy and chilly.. I’m guessing we are getting leftover rain from the tropical depression that’s made it’s way through to here in North West Mississippi.. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone who has been affected by hurricane Irma!💜

Ok, so I’m so excited to announce that I’m opening my own business!! I’ll be selling Ring Slings, and brimless bonnets! I’m sure there will be more things but at this moment those are what I have on my list! I’ve wanted to sell homemade items for a couple years, but to be honest I didn’t think my sewing abilities were that Good! I’m hoping to have my website go live in December this year! So right now I’ve been busy sewing up cute bonnets! I do have a instagram page for everyone to keep up to date with everything so I’ll be linking that below!

Here’s a sneak peek of the bonnets I’ve made so far! 💜💜 I’m so excited to see how this business takes off!

Miss Fong Diaper Bag

Good evening! Today I got in a Miss Fong Diaper Bag. I wanted a Fawn Design diaper bag so bad, but let me be honest. I couldn’t justify the price of it for me to buy one! Definitely NOT judging anyone for buying a Fawn Design!! I found the Miss Fong one through a mama BST group and as soon as I saw it, I fell in love with it! It looks EXACTLY like a Fawn Design! It does have more pockets than the fawn design ones do. And honestly for $45.00 can’t beat that price!! It also comes with stroller straps, crossbody straps, and also a changing mat! The changing mat is amazing since you can use it anywhere!! The backpack straps are amazing, and they don’t dig in your shoulder either!

I’ve only had this for today, but I know it will be the only diaper bag I’ll use! I’m already wanting some of the other colors they have! I ordered this one off of Amazon so I’ll link it below! These do tend to go out of stock alot so order before they do!! Miss Fong Diaper Bag

Hope each of you have a wonderful evening!!

0ur Favorite Toddler Cups

Good afternoon! Today I’m putting together a post on our favorite sippy cups for toddlers! We switched Lexi over to a sippy when she turned 1. She had them before she was 1 but we didn’t enforce sippy’s all the time until she turned 1! Lexi has always liked soft spout sippy cups and to be honest it’s quite hard to try and find nice soft spout sippy cups that are for older children!

1. Pura stainless steel toddler cup!

We love this toddler cup because it’s stainless steel. Yay for zero plastic! And it’s a soft spout sippy spout too! We found ours at our local Kroger Marketplace but I’ll link one from Amazon as well! I’m highly impressed with it and it’s by far our favorite! Picture below of Lexi drinking from her Pura Bottle! ❤ Pura Toddler Cup

2. Take & Toss sippy cups!

Ok, so I found these yesterday and I don’t understand the whole take and toss part! I know they’re plastic and made from recycled materials,  but they’re so handy and if they get lost while out and about I don’t feel like it’ll be the end of the world!🙈 these cups will be perfect for milk, juice, etc. We will be keeping these in our diaper bag for trips to town, zoo, and even the lake! I’m really impressed with these! And Lexi actually took them very easily! I found these at Wal-Mart and I’ll link some below as well! Take and toss

3. Munchkin Straw cup!

So a couple months ago, I ordered off of Amazon a 2 pack straw cups! I wasn’t sure if Lexi would take it or not, but it was worth a try! Little did I know, it would be her favorite straw cups ever! I really like the brand we have because it’s all one piece! It can be hard to clean but I use the skinny bottle brush that comes with the Dr. Brown bottles to clean the straw part! We also only use it for juice or tea! We ended up accidentally leaving one of the cups at a restaurant while visiting in Alabama so I’ll need to order another one soon.. Munchkin Straw Cup

4. Munchkin soft spout sippy!

Our last favorite sippy is the cheap $2.00 Munchkin soft spout sippy cup you can pick up at Wal-Mart or anywhere! We picked this one up first and Lexi has loved it ever since! I know we might have a lot of favorites but for us, I like to have a variety of sippy cups in case one gets lost or left somewhere! I’ll try and link one off of Amazon if I can find it! Unfortunately Muchkin has discontinued these specific one that I have pictured below but I’m linking a similar one here. Munchkin Soft Spout sippy

What are your favorite sippy cups for your little’s?

Happy 1st Birthday Alexandra

Tuesday Lexi turned 1! I can’t believe that we already have a one year old!!! The year went by so fast but I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world! Being a first time mom it’s been so amazing watching Lexi hit every milestone so far! It’s been so fun being able to watch her grow into the most spunky, independent, loving, even sometimes stubborn ( which can’t blame her, look at her mama) little toddler that she’s becoming.. I can’t wait to see what this next year brings us as she learns to walk, talk more, and learns more things as we go on! Right now at a year old Lexi loves to say Dada, Mama, Nana (for Aunt Amanda) Lala (for Lolly) and Pop! Her vocabulary is pretty good for 1! She loves her dolls, puppy, her Milo owl that Aunt Amanda made her (she can’t go to sleep without it at night) and her ZombieLulu doll that Auntie M made her! Her favorite show is Sofia The First, we’ve watched all three seasons on Netflix about 4 times already! I started watching When Calls The Heart with Lexi as well! She loves watching it so much! A girl after her mama’s own heart! The girl can watch period dramas all day if I’d let her! 😉

Now onto the pictures I took on Lexi’s birthday!

I am just in awe over the gorgeous girl that God blessed us with! She’s just the cutest little sassiest girl ever!! I took these pictures as she was opening her birthday gift from her great-grammie P! I love my precious baby girl and am so excited to see what age 2 brings!! Hope each of you have a wonderful day!!

First Mother’s Day

Good morning everyone! First off I want to wish every mother a Happy Mother’s Day! I know that for some Mother’s Day is hard. Whether it is from the loss of a mother, loss of children! My heart goes out to each of the mothers whose heart hurts every Mother’s Day!

This year will be my first Mother’s Day! Last year I was pregnant when Mother’s Day came around and even though I was a mom-to-be, it just felt a little weird celebrating Mother’s Day when babe was still in the womb. So I decided that I wouldn’t celebrate Mother’s Day until babe was here.. 11 months later and here we are, our first Mother’s Day!

We have so many firsts in our life. First cry, first laugh, first walk, first word, first date, first love, first heartbreak, first child.. I have had all those firsts before and I think the greatest of these (aside from marrying the man of my dreams) is the first time I became a Mother! Did I read all the baby books there is? No. Did I know what to expect after baby came? No. Was I prepared for the sleepless nights of a newborn? Yes and No.. I didn’t know everything about becoming a mother.. I knew a little on how to care for children but as far as my own I was so scared on messing up and being a “bad mom”.. But as soon as she was laid in my arms minutes after birth all of my worries went away! It was like a fresh breath of air that washed over me! Seeing the joy in both my eyes and my husband’s was all that I needed! Has it been rough? Yes! But I don’t think Motherhood is suppose to be easy.. If that was so there wouldn’t be all the books written for and by moms to help other moms! There wouldn’t be books on what to expect during the first few years of having a child/children.. But I know that it’s the most amazing thing in the world! Becoming a mother was my all time wish as I grew up and became an adult.. It’s what I always dreamed about.. And now, I get to live that wonderful dream every single day!

Both of these pictures are my favorite! The one on the left was when Lexi was 1 week old. And the one on the right is now. Lexi is 11 months old now.. She is so spunky and full of life and I am so blessed to be able to call her mine! I can’t imagine life without her! Hope each of you have a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend.. Tell that special mother in your life how much you love them.. You may never now how much they’re hurting inside..
