You’ve probably wondered where I went. What I’ve been up to. And wondering if I’ll ever post again!🤷
Truth is, I thought I had decided to put blogging away for good! I just haven’t had the desire to continue with blogging. However, these last few weeks got me into thinking of restarting and getting back into blogging! I am very much considering a Blog name change. But I’m NOT good with coming up with names!🤣 So if you have any ideas feel free to leave them in the comments!🙌
Ok, now for some updates!! Lexi and Owen have been so wonderful! Lexi loves her brother so much and vice versa with Owen! Owen is learning so much. He can say many words, pulls himself up on everything, is even climbing on furniture! He’s a BIG food eater! And has already weaned himself off formula! That was the biggest shocker for me because he’s 10 months! But I fully believe in letting each baby do their own thing! And he was clearly ready since he weaned himself!
I turned 30 in November last year! And I am so happy to be in a new decade for age! I know not a lot say that! I am currently studying through my GED book so I can take it and have it done! My plans is to go into nursing school and hopefully become a Pediatric Nurse! I’ve always wanted to be a nurse and I think that working with babies/children will be so much fun! I am looking forward to the challenge of being a nursing student!
I am still working my nail business (if you want to join my group click here) though it’s a little slow, I am never giving up!! Because I love it!! If you have any questions about Color Street feel free to message me on Instagram, my facebook page (Amazingly Blessed Blog) or through the contact section right here on my blog! 🙂
What are some things you’d like to see on the blog? Unboxings/reviews of my Boxycharm and Ipsy? My must have makeup items? Favorite perfume? Or maybe even some clothing inspo’s for Spring/Summer? Leave your suggestions in the comments! It’ll be so much help!
Hope you have a wonderful week,
I am finally getting around to writing out Owen’s birth story! It’s taken me 3 months to finally do it! On April 23, 2019 we welcomed our sweet baby boy! It was a complete roller coaster the last two weeks before he was born! We went through 35 weeks of my pregnancy without any issues with my blood pressure. I was off my medicine because it was causing my blood pressure to drop so low and I was passing out due to it. We hit 35 weeks and that’s when my blood pressure decided to start acting up. At my 35 week checkup my blood pressure reading was 162/100 and of course with that high of a reading I got sent to the hospital for monitoring.. While there we found out I would need 12 hours of Magnesium and I had a moderate case of Pre-eclampsia. My protein levels were almost 400! I was also diagnosed with Chronic Hypertension.. I ended up having to have my labor stopped while there because the magnesium caused me to start having contractions, which is not very common! I was finally able to go home after a 4 day stay at the hospital.. But was also put on bed rest for the remainder of my pregnancy. Before 37 weeks of pregnancy I was sent to the hospital once more for Blood pressure monitoring.. At 37 weeks we went in for our induction! Induction was started at 7am, and by 5pm I asked for an epidural because I just couldn’t take the pain anymore. Inductions are super hard on your body, and I went in at only 1cm dilated and 50% effaced.. By 6pm, my epidural was in and I was finally able to relax fully.. Now my epidural only numbed about half my body which now I’m super happy it did because it helped me be able to push when the time came! About an hour later I told the nurse that I was only numbed half way and she went to go check me before calling in more epidural medicine and I was finally 10 cm! I was at a 6 when I got the epidural. And once the Dr. was called in, I pushed for about 10 minutes and he was born!! Owen weighed in at 7 pounds 7 ounces and 20.5 inches tall! Lexi was so excited to meet her baby brother the next day! And she’s been the sweetest Big Sister ever!
While at the hospital we had a dear friend take Newborn/fresh 48 pictures of Owen! And I’m still so in love with them! She did such amazing work!
We are so in love with our little man and so thankful He completed our family!!
Today on the blog, I wanted to talk about my favorite products that got me through the first trimester this time around.. This is long overdue as I am now 24 weeks pregnant and only have 4 weeks left of the second trimester, But I promise that my second trimester must haves will be up sooner than this one is!
So to start this off, the constant nausea was so horrible this time around! I found out I was pregnant at 3 1/2 weeks along.. and my “morning sickness” but I call it all day sickness started at 4 weeks pregnant.. So here’s my favorite things that helped ease my morning sickness for the most!
Preggie Pops Drops Plus, these drops helped alot! They’re formulated with natural ingredients and vitamin B6 to help ease morning sickness.. The amazing thing about this product is you can get it off Amazon, or you can get it in store at Target!
Sea-Band Mama Maternity Pack, These were such a lifesaver for the extreme intense morning sickness.. The pressure point bands go right on your wrist and help relieve the nausea! I also wear them when my motion sickness gets out of control!
Dramamine-N Multi purpose formula, this also helped with my nausea a lot! My morning sickness didn’t end until I was almost 17 weeks pregnant! The longest I have ever been sick with all my pregnancies! Of course make sure to talk with your health care provider before taking any medication!!
Now that we have the morning sickness remedies aside, let’s talk favorite clothes to have during the first trimester! My favorites were some maternity jeans! I had to start wearing maternity jeans starting at 10 weeks because I was already showing! Third pregnancy is no joke when you start showing! So I’ll link some of my favorites below!
Now onto favorite App! I have always loved the Ovia Pregnancy app! It’s what I used with my daughter and I love how easy it is! Definitely download it and give it a try! You won’t be disappointed!
Favorite Prenatal has been the Olly Prenatal! I’ve been picking mine up at Target! But I love how I can get my DHA and Omega 3 just by taking it daily! It doesn’t have iron in it, but it’s not a concern for me as I eat a lot of iron rich foods!
My Essential Oils have been a HUGE help with this pregnancy! I so wanted to be able to incorporate my oils into this pregnancy and have my first oily pregnancy! Little did I know that I’d be relying on them so much! I can’t thank them enough! For those that haven’t used oils before and would like to, I highly suggest using Young Living oils, and also getting the Gentle Babies: Essential oil and natural remedies for Pregnancy, childbirth, infants and young children, and also the Betsy Bosom’s Baby Book, they’re so informative on oils that are safe for pregnancy and beyond! So my list of oils that helped a ton were: Lemon, Lavender, Frankincense, Valor! Ningxia Red was also a huge help! It helped with some of my morning sickness but also helped with my constant exhaustion!
If you have any favorites definitely comment them below! I’d love to hear your favorites!
Hello all! Starting this post out by saying I am back to blogging! Taking a break was honestly so good for myself! I also am going to be doing a little update with what we’ve been up to!
So to start this off, our girlie is gonna be a big sister! May 2019 she’ll have a baby brother! We are beyond excited and so blessed God is blessing us with a baby boy! I was so sick my entire first trimester (I was sick with Lexi but not as bad) and still have bouts of exhaustion! I’m 23.6 weeks along! Baby boy is right on track for everything! We’re keeping an eye on my blood pressure to make sure it doesn’t start to get high, but so far we’ve been great with it! 👐
I’ve been thinking about doing some maternity outfit style posts. Would y’all like to see that? Give me all your ideas for blog posts to come! I’ll be sharing baby boy’s room once we start getting it ready!

Good evening all. I know I haven’t blogged much but I decided to take the time off instead.. But I am back and plan to put a blog post up once a week! Tonights post will be about my favorite cruelty free skincare that I use.. I switched to 100% cruelty free skin care and makeup several months ago. I pretty much had all cruelty free products so just had to switch out a few products.. I asked the question on my instagram (if you’re not following me on there and would like scroll down and follow the link on the sidebar) and every person who voted said yes to me doing a post about my favorite skin care, so here we go!
So the first product I am going to mention is from First Aid Beauty. I am in love with their products! I got started using their products when I got a sample size of their Ultra Repair Cream in a ipsy bag one month. It is so amazing for sensitive skin and gentle enough for your face as well. I use this nightly after I wash my face.
I shared the direct link for this amazing product!
Another product from FAB that I love is their Coconut Skin Smoothie Priming Moisturizer. I have been using this as a primer before I put my makeup on and I love it! My skin has been so smooth and not oily at all! I’ll be honest, since I switched to using these products my oily skin has actually become less and less.. Now we’ll put my skin to the test this summer! 😉
My next go to products are from Burts Bees! I love to use their makeup remover wipes to take my makeup off at night. And I love using their deep pore scrub!
I have been consistently using both these products for months. I am on my second bottle of the deep pore scrub and still love it! You definitely need to use a moisturizer after using the scrub or you’ll end up with dry spots since this really cleanses the skin. But other than that it’s seriously my favorite!
Ok, So the next brand I am going to mention is one that I am still trying out, I am using Yes To’s single use masks and so far I am loving them. I have sensitive skin and so I am always weary trying different skin care products out which is why I bought the single use ones..
I bought mine from Ulta because well Ulta has an amazing points system! 🙂
Next is an amazing facial spray that I had never heard of before until I started watching more Youtube Beauty Vloggers. And that is the Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Chamomile and Lavender. This spray is amazing! I use it as a base before I put primer and makeup on and I also use it at night as well! And the price point is amazing!
Ulta sells 2oz, 4oz, and 8oz bottles. And they are at drug store prices which to me is amazing! 🙂
Lastly, I am adding two products I have found on Amazon. Amazon is my go to place for online shopping no matter what it is. I am definitely an Amazon Prime mom 😉 I really love finding all natural and cruelty free skin care products off amazon too! I found a nice under eye serum thats amazing!
I love using this every night! Some nights I forget to use it but I try to use it nightly.
The other product is a 100% organic Maracuja oil. I used Tarte’s Maracuja oil samples that I recieved in a recent order from Ulta and to be honest I hated the smell of it. But this one is amazing! The smell is so fruity too!
A little goes a long way with this oil. I haven’t started using this nightly. I use this when I need the added moisture to my skin..
So this is the list of my favorite skin care products! Hope you enjoy this post!!
I’ve been meaning to get this review typed up for two weeks now and kept forgetting.. Well not really forgetting, just been busy! After we got back from our Chattanooga trip my poor husband came down with the flu, Lexi and I both got a cold that lasted like 3 days for both of us! So needless to say it’s been crazy hectic! But anyways, I wanted to start this year by reviewing my Ipsy Glam Bag! I know alot of people do YouTube reviews of them, but I wanted to do blog posts instead since I’m too terrified to try out vlogging!🙈 so this months Ipsy was totally a favorite of mine! I love every item I got and have used them quite a bit!!
1.) So Susan liquid Matte lipstick
I really love the formula of this liquid lipstick! It’s nice and matte but yet not drying and the pigment in it is amazing! It’s also cruelty free which is a must for me since I only use cruelty free products!
2.) Ciate Fierce Flicks Liquid Eyeliner
So I’m obsessed with liquid eyeliners! Like majorly obsessed! This one is so good! The black is nice and black, it’s easy to use and if your good at a wing liner this is the perfect liner to use! I suck at wing liners so I just do a simple line!
3.) Emma V.S.N.P Nail Polish
This color is so pretty! It’s also cruelty free and free of 8 chemicals that are in most nail polishes! The pigment is amazing and two coats brings out the color so well! I can get about 3 days wear out of it before it starts chipping and that’s amazing since most of my polishes chip after day 1!
4.) Mary Lou Manizer Highlighter By The Balm
I was so excited to find that I was getting this highlighter in my bag! I’ve been wanting to try it out so bad but didn’t want to buy a full size product and not like it! It’s a very subtle highlight but that’s one reason why I love it! I have so many blinding highlighters so it’s nice having one that isn’t so blinding lol!😂😂
5.) Trust Fund Beauty Lip Scrub
I’m usually one for lip scrubs.. I guess I just couldn’t find the “right” one! So I was kinda sceptical and it.. But I tried it out like I do every thing else and quickly fell in love with it! It gently exfoliates your lips and it leaves your lips feeling so soft! I always add a lip balm on my lips after using this scrub to add more softness! I use this at night before I go to bed!
So, I really hope you like my review! It’s fun trying out and seeing what works for me and also letting each of you know what I think about these products!! Have a wonderful day!
So this morning we woke up to another round of snow! Our first round happened early Friday morning but it was mostly ice with a little snow! Now here in Mississippi we don’t get “winter weather”. We get the frigid cold temps and maybe some ice but that’s usually all.. So to get 3 inches of snow over night is big! I took Lexi out so she could play in it and her reaction was so hilarious! She loved it but would never touch it! All she wanted to do was shuffle her boots in the snow.. Apparently the girl is like her mama! I’m not really fond of it! I like summer and fall weather best!😉 I’m gonna attach the cutest pictures ever with her enjoying the snow!
She is such a little fashionista with the way she was posing in the pictures!
Hope each of you have a wonderful week!!
Before I start this I want to say that if you’ve ever went through a miscarriage, still birth, or Molar Pregnancies my heart goes out to you. I never in a million years would have thought I’d be going through this.. I also want to put that this post might be a trigger warning for anyone who has went through any kind of pregnancy loss..
So here is my story that I have felt like I needed to write. We found out we were expecting another baby at the end of September. We were so happy, Lexi was going to be a big sister and I just couldn’t wait for June 2018 to come.. We head into the end of October and I started spotting.. My first trimester OB appointment was 4 days after I started spotting. I thought for sure I was miscarrying! Bleeding stopped and I didn’t think any more about it. Went in for my first trimester ultrasound and I just had this overwhelming feeling that something wasn’t right the day before. I just couldn’t shake the feeling. Go in for the ultrasound and as soon as the tech turned the screen on I knew in my heart that I was indeed right, something wasn’t right.. The tech looked at me and said “I am so sorry but you don’t have a viable pregnancy”. You have a very rare pregnancy, a molar pregnancy.. Now I had never heard of a molar pregnancy before and I didn’t know what it meant! After she took all the pictures that she needed for my OB, I then went to see my OB and talk with her about what all had to take place..
When my OB came into the room she confirmed what her suspicion was (She couldn’t fully diagnosed me with a molar pregnancy until the pathology team confirmed it) and said that I needed a D&C as soon as possible and would call me back that day with my surgery date. Now mind you I have NEVER had any kind of surgery before.. So finding out that I had a molar pregnancy and finding out that I also needed surgery was A LOT for me to process.. Not to mention I would have to relay all this information back to my husband who was suppose to start working nights that exact same night and couldn’t go with me to this appointment.. I held it together until I got home. As soon as I got home and looked at my husband I just couldn’t hold it together.. I cried and cried while he held me! Knowing that I had my husband holding me and letting me cry was so what I needed.. So my Ob appointment was on a wednesday, my surgery was that Friday.. Going in for the surgery I didn’t really know what to expect. I mean I had talked with some friends who have had one done, But honestly it doesn’t prepare you for what it actually is! The surgery was a total of 20 minutes and we had to stay in the recovery area for one hour afterwards. Which was so simple for me since I wasn’t in any pain. That weekend I experienced all the pain from the surgery and the pain of going through the loss.. I have never cried so much in my life, and I just can’t imagine how I would have been able to do this without my husband. He is my rock! Having Lexi to take my mind off the hurt has been so good for me too! Fast forward to my first blood draw since the surgery. We found out my HCG (pregnancy hormone) levels were 247,000 before surgery. It is extremely high but also normal when dealing with a molar pregnancy. So it was back to weekly blood draws until the HCG levels go to zero.. I will say the weekly blood draws have been Hell on me.. Physically and emotionally.. Every week after having it done, I have felt like shit! Every week my arm bruises up and looks like shit! Today was my last day for weekly blood draws and I am so happy! These last two months have been such hell.. I am forever thankful for my amazing OB team for going through this with me. I still have six months of blood work that we have to continue on. We are not even close to being done. Now it’s just maintaining the levels and making sure they stay down. I have no doubt that they won’t stay low since we can’t try for another baby right now and I am also on a birth control pill to keep me from getting pregnant while we are going through this process.. If you don’t know what a molar pregnancy is, It’s where you have all the pregnancy cells but a non fertilized egg.. Most times it is because the female body releases a egg that doesn’t have any fertilizing capabilities.. And when a sperm and the egg comes together the sperm takes over and then tissue forms and a abnormal placenta forms.. You also gain alot of weight with it as well.. And even though I was only 9 weeks when we found out, I looked like I was 15 weeks pregnant.. I wanted to share my story for anyone who has went through this, or who is going through it right now.. YOU ARE NOT ALONE!! I have cried so much through this process.. Knowing that when June comes I will again be sad knowing that we won’t have the baby we were so excited for.. Knowing that there was no baby at any point is a blessing. But also I feel like sad that I am mourning a pregnancy loss and not a loss of a baby.. I know this all sounds weird to say.. Has anyone been through this before? If so, How are you coping with it? Or how did you cope with it? Thank you for reading this and for letting me share my story!! This is my first time sharing this other than the few people we told already.. But I feel now is the right time to share about it!
Good afternoon everyone! I’m sorry I haven’t posted in over a month! We’ve been dealing with some things and I just haven’t felt like blogging until now..
I never thought that my blog would take a beauty turn but I have some amazing products I’d like to share with you all! All of my pictures have been taken on my brand new Nikon D3400 DSLR camera. This is my first ever DSLR camera and I am loving it so far! Some of my pictures I feel didn’t come out the way I would have liked them to come out, but I know practice makes perfect..
- Smashbox primer water and primers. I love these products. I got the travel size off Amazon since I wanted to try them out before buying the bigger bottles.. The primer water adds a nice moisture to my face and helps the primer glide on smoothly. I love both primers, one because they’re oil free and for oily skin tones they work amazing!! Highly recommend trying these out.
2. Foundations. I’m currently loving both these foundations. I use the Burts Bees one for if I don’t need full coverage or if I just want to wear makeup around the house. I use the Wet N Wild one for when I need fuller coverage or if we are planning to be out and about all day.. Both of them are amazing and I use them both pretty regularly!
3. Setting Powder. I have been loving this Banana powder from Makeup Revolution. This setting powder has zero flashback and is just the perfect shade for pale skin tones and even dark skin tones. I’ll be honest I didn’t know what the hype was over a banana powder but since getting this and trying it out, I now know it’s even more amazing than I first thought!
4. Favorite lippies. The makeup revolution lipsticks are so my favorites! They have nice pigment and stay on forever! I also am currently loving the Flower Beauty matte liquid lip. The only downside is, it bleeds into my lips but I feel a nice lip primer could help that!
5. Contour palette.. I don’t use this as a contour palette. I don’t like the way contouring looks on me. So instead I use it as a bronzer and I love it! Nice pigment and a little goes a long way! I barely dip my brush into it and get plenty enough!
6. Highlighters. If you know me you know that I am obsessed with highlighters. I have several palettes and use them all! The two I have been using the most lately are these two. The elf one is amazing for all skin tones! When I saw that Heart Defensor was collaborating with Elf I just HAD to buy it! She’s one of my favorites to watch on youtube! My newest highlighter palette is this Smashbox Spotlight Palette in Pearl. I’m loving this one so much! One of my reasonings for wanting this one was because Casey Holmes collaborated with Smashbox to bring this one out. She’s also another Youtube beauty Vlogger that I just love!!
7. Tarte Blushes. I got one of the blushes free from Sephora for my Birthday and the other one was in my Ipsy bag. I am loving these blushes! They’re nicely pigmented and have nice colors on my cheeks! I am beyond obsessed with them!
8. Setting Spray, Mascara, And eyelid primer. So I bought both the setting spray and the mascara and love both of them! My makeup doesn’t budge when I use the setting spray and it lasts so long as well! I love the volume of the mascara and highly recommend it! The eyelid primer came in my Ipsy bag and I am so glad I got it! I am obsessed with it and a little goes a long way with it! I’m starting to think a little goes a long way with ALL of Smashbox’s products..
9. Eyeshadow Palettes.. I bought these around my birthday and I am so impressed with them! All three are palettes from Makeup Revolution and they are nicely pigmented too! They blend out super easy as well! I paid $4.00 for two of them. The most expensive one was the mermaid palette and that one was $7.00!!
10. Hair care products. Lastly I want to talk all about Eva NYC. I was sent all these products from Influenster to review and I have already reviewed them on their app. But I wanted to add these to my November favorites. These three products have made my hair shiny and healthy looking! The dry shampoo doesn’t make my hair gritty feeling or just feeling nasty period. It makes my hair super soft and it always looks like I just washed my hair. The hair primer is simply amazing! The volume powder is amazing for when my hair needs some added volume. Over all I love this company and I will continue to buy their products!
Ok, So that’s the wrap of my November Favorites. I am considering on keeping this as a monthly thing! Just so everyone knows, I was NOT sponsored in any way for this post! I have bought everything unless noted in the post!! If you have tried any of these products let me know which are your favorites!!
