Alexandra Elizabeth Whitten

Hello everyone! Sorry I haven’t written any posts as of late! 6 weeks ago we had our precious baby girl! She weighed 6lbs 6oz and was 19 1/2 inches long.. She was born at 2:50pm on June 6,2016

It has been so amazing having her and I am so in love with our gorgeous girl! We named her Alexandra Elizabeth.. We came up with the name before we even knew the gender.. It has been a whirl wind leading up to the birth of her.. I found out at 32 weeks that I had developed Preeclampsia and so I was put on modified bed rest with weekly dr visits and needed to deliver at 37 weeks.. I was so very happy to be able to have a natural birth with her! I was in labor for 9 hours from the time they started the pitocin until the moment she was born..

A day after she was born we got a newborn photoshoot done.. I will be adding some of my favorites below from that photoshoot..

Fast forward to this evening I am still so in awe of our girl! She is already holding her head up really well and loves her tummy time and smiles at both her mommy and daddy! She’s a daddy’s girl, and loves her doggie Cassie so much! (Cassie is our Great Dane) She’s also a wonderful sleeper at night too! Sleeping most times 6 hours! Occasionally she might wake up after sleeping for 4 but thats not very often! 😉
She also loves sleeping on her stomach in her cradle.. Soon we will be slowly making the transition over to her crib in her room..

I hope each of you have a wonderful night! I’ll try to post more but can’t promise when that might be! 😉
Blessings,
Elizabeth
